Day 01 : Arrive Mumbai
Meet representative upon arrival in Mumbai for assisted transfer to hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 02 : Mumbai
After breakfast, morning cruise across the harbour (9 kms) to see Elephanta Caves famous for its huge rock cuts. This is also a UNESCO world heritage site. Later begin Mumbai city tour. Main attractions of the day are Kamla Nehru Park, Hanging Gardens, Mani Bhawan, Gateway of India & drive through the Crawford Market, Marine Drive & Flora Fountain. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 03 : Mumbai - Aurangabad
Morning transfer to the railway-station to board the train # 7617 Tapovan Exp dep at 06:10 hrs and arr at 13:15 hrs. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Later visit the Aurangabad Caves (2nd and 6th century AD). They reflect tantric influences in their iconography and architectural designs. Also visit Daulatabad Fort, this magnificent 12th century fortress stands on a hill just 13 km away from Aurangabad. One of the world's best preserved fort of medieval times, surviving virtually unaltered, Daulatabad yet displays the character that made it wealthy and invincible. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04 : Aurangabad – Ajanta Caves
Morning excursion to Ajanta Caves. The ancient rock cut caves of Ajanta are located at a distance of 99 km and 03 hrs drive from the Aurangabad city. Ajanta is famous for paintings and sculptures, considered as masterpieces of Buddhist religious art. After visiting the caves, drive back to Aurangabad, overnight stay at the hotel. (Ajanta Caves remains closed on Mondays).
Day 05 : Aurangabad – Ellora Caves - Mumbai (train)
After breakfast, excursion to Ellora Caves located 30 Kms from Aurangabad. The splendid caves house the several uninterrupted monuments, dating back to 600 to 1000 A.D. And they even bring the ancient Indian civilization to life. Later transfer to the railway-station to board the train # 7618 Tapovan Exp dep at 14:40 hrs and arr at 22:05 hrs. Upon arrival, transfer to the International Airport to board the flight for onward destination. (Ellora Caves are closed on Tuesdays)
