DAY 01 : ARRIVE DELHI
Upon arrival at International Airport you are met and transferred to your pre-booked hotel. Upon arrival at hotel, you are received with a traditional welcome. Rest of the day free. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 02 : DELHI
This morning, visit Old Delhi, built in the 17th century by Shah Jehan the Magnificent (who also built the Taj Mahal). First visit the famous Jama Masjid mosque with its 9,000 sq. ft. courtyard, three domes and two minarets, and then proceed to the massive complex known as the Red Fort.
Afternoon visit Lakshmi Narayan Temple, a Spectacular structure that is 60 years old , and then proceed via India Gate and the Governmental building to Qutab Minar, the 240 foot tower built in 1190 to commemorate the arrival of Islam in India, the Bahai temple with its nine pools on an elevated platform, and the Crafts Museum, which replicates and Indian street with over 50 artists and craftspeople at work. DAY 03 : DELHI - AGRA 210 KMS 4 HOURS
After breakfast, drive to Agra. It was the capital of India under the Moghuls in the 16th and 17th centuries. Upon arrival check in at hotel. This morning you will see the exquisite tomb of the Emperor Jehangir's chief minister and father - in - law, often called the 'BABY TAJ' because its design foreshadows the Taj Mahal,. Then we tour Agra's Red Fort, built over three generations by the moghul emperors. Following an afternoon free, we go at sunset to see the Taj Mahal, the mausoleum built by a sorrowing Shah Jehan in memory of his young wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Building's stupendous scale, flawless symmetry, translucent white marble and shimmering reflection in the water channel are truly breathtaking. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 04 : AGRA - GWALIOR 120 KMS 3 HOURS
After early breakfast, drive to Gwalior. Go on sightseeing tour of Gwalior in the afternoon. Visit the temples and palaces within the Gwalior Fort, Scindia Museum, Gaus's Tomb and Tansen's Tomb. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 05 : GWALIOR - ORCHHA 130 KMS 3 HOURS DRIVE
Morning after breakfast, continue drive towards Orchha. Orchha is a place that makes one feel the pulse of warm soul of India with temples, magnificent palaces, splendid cenotaphs and river betwa gurgling through zero pollution surrounding where time slumbers for good. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 06 : ORCHHA - KHAJURAHO 180 KMS 5 HOURS DRIVE
Afternoon tour of spectaular ninth to thirteenth century temples of Khajuraho, built by Chandela kings. The temples are exquisitely carved with graceful statues and frieze gods and goddesses. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 07 : KHAJURAHO - JHANSI BY ROAD 150 KMS 4 HOURS JHANSI - BHOPAL BY SHATABDI EXPRESS DEP 1056 HRS ARR 1407 HRS
Morning drive to Jhansi to board Shatabdi express for Bhopal. Upon arrival check in at hotel . Afternoon excursion to Sanchi. Visit the Great Stupa and other Buddhist pilgrimage sites. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 08 : BHOPAL - UJJAIN BY ROAD 188 KMS 4 HOURS DRIVE
Morning after breakfast visit Taj - ul - Masjid, Fatehgarh Fort, Moti Masjid, Vidhan Sabha and Lakshmi Narayan temple and after visiting drive to Ujjain. Upon arrival, check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 09 : UJJAIN - MANDU BY ROAD 150 KMS 3 HOURS
Morning visit Mahakaleshwar Mandir, Harsiddhi Mandir, Gopal Mandir, Bade Ganeshji ka Mandir and Chintaman Ganesh Mandir, Observatory, Kalidas Palace and Ram Ghat. Later drive to Mandu . Upon arrival check in at hotel . Overnight at hotel.
DAY 10 : MANDU
Full day sightseeing tour of Mandu. Visit Baz Bahadur Palace, Rani Roopmati Pavilion, Jama Masjid, Hoshang Tomb, Jahaz Mahal, Traveli Mahal, Hindola Maha, Champa Baodi, Jain temples and Ashrafi Mahal. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 11 : MANDU - INDORE BY ROAD 98 KMS 2 HOURS DRIVE
Morning after breakfast drive to Indore. Afternoon city tour of Indore visiting Rajwada Palace, Lal Bagh Palace, Central Museum, Bada Ganapati temple, Chattri Bagh and bazaars such as the popular Khajuri Bazaar. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 12 : INDORE - AURANGABAD VIA ELLORA CAVES 400 KMS 8 HOURS DRIVE
After breakfast drive to Aurangabad, named after Emperor Aurangzeb, the last of the great Mughul Emperor's Aurangabad offers an exciting mix of Buddhist and Muslim places of interest. It is also a convenient point for visiting the Ajanta and Ellora caves. Enroute We will visit Ellora Caves. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 13 : AURANGABAD
After breakfast proceed for a city tour. Places of interest are the 12 Aurangzeb caves belonging to the Buddhist era built between the 3rd and 11th Centuries, Bibi ka Maqbara , a mausoleum resembling the Taj Mahal Built in 1660. The history Museum of Marathwada University includes excavations dating to the Satavadhana dynasty. Ajanta - Ajanta caves renowned chiefly for their magnificent wall paintings and frescoes depicting scenes from the life of Buddha. The caves consist mainly of Buddhist caves Temples and Monasteries. DAY 14 : AURANGABAD - MUMBAI BY TRAIN DEP 0600 HRS ARR 1245 HRS
Morning transfer to Railway station to board train for Mumbai. Upon arrival transfer to your pre-booked hotel. This afternoon proceed on a guided city tour, which is distinctly tropical. Its weathered Victorian mansions, some still privately owned, and grand public buildings, many beautifully lit at night, stand as lingering reminder of the days of the British Raj, First visit the Gateway of India, hastily created as a symbol of welcome to Queen Mary and King George V of England on their to India in 1911.
