Gujarat Heritage Tour

Destination Covered: Ahmadabad – Dwarka – Porbandar – Somnath – Diu – Sasan Gir – Junagadh – Virpur – Gondal

Day 01: Arrive Ahmadabad and Ahmadabad – Dwarka
Upon your arrival at Ahmedabad airport/railway station, you’ll be greeted by our tour representative who then helps you board a cab that drives you towards Dwarka en route Jamnagar. At Jamnagar, you get to see the famous Lakhota museum, Lakhota Lake and the Bala Hanuman temple famous for its nonstop Ram dhun chanting. Post sightseeing of Jamnagar, you are driven straight to Dwarka. On reaching, check into hotel for dinner and night stay.

Day 02: Dwarka Sightseeing
The second day of the trip is given to sightseeing of the holy city of Dwarka. We would begin by visiting the island of Beyt Dwarka which is located about 3kms into the sea off the main coast of Dwarka. Bet Dwarka is believed to have been lord Krishna’s original home. The other places you would get to visit during your Dwarka tour are Nageshwar Jyotirlingam, Dwarkadheesh temple. Back to hotel for dinner and night stay.

Day 03: Dwarka – Porbandar – Somnath
Next morning post breakfast we depart for Somnath en route Porbandar. At Porbandar we visit sights such as Tara mandir planetarium, Chowpatty and Kirti mandir; Gandhi ji’s ancestral home. Post Porbandar tour we head straight towards Somnath and visit the famed Bhalka tirth and the shore temple of Somnath; a lord Shiva Jyotirlingam. Post temple visit, we check into hotel for dinner and night stay.

Day 04: Somnath – Diu
Somnath TemplePost breakfast, we move towards Diu; a scenic island with noteworthy vestiges of the Portuguese influence. Diu falls within Gujarat’s Diu district. After checking into hotel, we set out for a sightseeing tour of Diu visiting places such as Naida caves, St Paul’s Church, Diu castle, Nagoa beach. Back to hotel for dinner and night stay.

Day 05: Diu – Sasan Gir – Junagadh
Post breakfast, we leave for Sasan Gir famous for its Gir National park, a wildlife reserve with a sprawling area of about 1153 sq km sheltering the largest habitat of the most endangered lion species; the Asiatic lions. After exploring the Gir wildlife, we head towards Junagadh and check into Junagadh hotel for dinner and night stay.

Day 06: Junagadh – Virpur – Gondal – Ahmadabad
Early morning we depart for Ahmedabad en route Virpur and Gondal. On the way we visit some of the most notable tourist places such as Navlakha palace, Swaminarayan temple, and Vintage car museum. On reaching Ahmadabad you are transferred to Ahmadabad airport/station where our representative bids you adieu and you proceed for your onward journey back home with lots of happy memories of the tour.
