Majuli Festival Assam

Majuli Festival Assam is one of the prime festivals of Assam, which exhibits the culture of the state. It is celebrated in the river island Majuli on the bank of River Luit. The festival showcases dance, music and cuisines of Majuli along with the handloom and handicrafts products, which are also displayed for sale. Majuli Festival is celebrated on the banks of the River Luit in Majuli. It is organised exactly in a region located at a distance of 1.5 kilometres from the headquarters of Majuli, Garamur.

Attractions of Majuli Festival
Majuli Festival starts on 21st November every year and ends on 24th November. People from various parts of India come to participate and enjoy the festival. The festival represents the exclusive Neo-Viashnavite culture of the Majuli region in particular and of Assam as a whole. It also displays the native Assamese and tribal cuisine of the state of Assam. In the festival, visitors get to see various traditional handicrafts and garments, locally made cane and bamboo products that reflect the richness of the tradition in Assam. These crafts are exhibited by different artists and artisans who come from all over the state at the Majuli festival.
