Nongpoh Tourism

Nongpoh is the administrative centre of Ri-Bhoi district in the State of Meghalaya in the Republic of India. Nongpoh is located on National Highway 40, fifty-two kilometers from the state capital Shillong and forty-eight kilometers from Guwahati in the State of Assam. The administrative headquarters of Ri-Bhoi district of the Indian state of Meghalaya is Nongpoh, which is again a very significant town. The lower northern part of Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills is created by Nongpoh. In the past, during one’s journey to Shillong in Meghalaya, Nongpoh used to serve as a location for a night halt spot for rest. The beauty of the nature surrounding this place, takes the breath away.
