Williamnagar was formed around the former town of Simsanggre, which is based on the large plains of the Simsang River. A very remote area usually known for its abundance of natural beauty i.e. being flanked by the mountains and having a rich composition of both water and vegetation.
The distance between Duphdara and Naka Chikong is 15 Kms. Right in the middle of the river named Ildek, a huge rock was present with profound depressions. The river is situated in the village named Badaka, which is again situated at a distance of 3 Kms from Adokgre. It is so believed that, during any time of the year one can find hundreds and hundreds of fishes swimming in this huge rock. Another myth related to this rock is that, when any person comes in contact with the rock, the fishes vanishes from the river almost right away. This place is considered to be a holy place by the people, who follow Hindu religion.
